الوصف الوظيفي 1.Duty rota 8 hours shilling duty all over the 24 hours. 2.Supervise the junior staff in day to day work within the unit. 3.Attend to critically ill or traumatized patients in Resus room. 4.Act as a team leader for Code Blue in A & E Dept. 5.Act as a team leader during the initial phase of Code Yellow before arrival of consultant general surgeon on call (code yellow team leader). 6.Deputize for the A & E Chief when on duty after working hours and solve administrative problems within the unit including communication with police in Medico Legal cases. 7.Ensure smooth running and plan of patients within the unit. 8.Admission of disputed cases policy: 9.The A & E Consultant is authorized to interfere as follows if there is a dispute among consultant as where; the patient gets admitted to: A.Review the patients. B.Communicate with the responsible consultants. C.Admit the patient to the unit he thinks is appropriate after informing the respective unit consultant on call of his decision. 10.Fill-in in duplicate an incident report form which goes to the QM department. 11.Sign sick leaves offered by junior staff. 12.Participate in the departmental, teaching and Quality Management activities. 13.Act as member of A & E Board. 14.Play an active leader role during disaster (Code Green according to action card). 15.Abides by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Code of Medical Ethics, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff and those specific to the department/division. 16.Provides the highest attainable standard of medical care for the patients for whom he/she is responsible. 17.Carries out full range of clinical duties as assigned by the director of department/head of division in accordance with individually approved clinical privileges. 18.Participates in the on-call duties as required by the department/division. 19.Teaches staff assigned for training purposes, and participates with the director of department/head of division and Director of Postgraduate and Academic Affairs in planning a program of career development for trainees. 20.Participates in the improvement of quality of patient care (Total Quality Management Program, Quality Assessment Improvement Programme) as applicable. 21.Fulfills the requirements of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties with regard to continuing medical education. 22.Participates in and/or actively supports approved research projects. 23.Deputies for his superior as required and shares workload in his specialty during the absence of his colleagues. 24.Strives to improve his clinical expertise as well as standard of practice with regard to morbidity and cost effectiveness. 25.Participates in the forward planning, and further development of the department/division. 26.Serves on hospital committees as requested. 27.Participates in the Major Disaster Plan of the hospital, as indicated. 28.Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities, within the hospital and/or affiliated medical facilities. المهارات 2.Current and updated clinical knowledge, particularly with respect to Emergency Medicine. 3.Current ACLS and ATLS Certification are essential. 4.Basic knowledge of computers and information technology as applied to the Medical Sciences. 5.Knowledge of Internet resources of Emergency Medicine and other Medical Specialties; and necessary skills of retrieving suitable information from the Internet.
