A team player who demonstrates a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering as per company goals and objective. Focuses on the company’s profitability with strong Supplier and Buyer relationship.
Analyse data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
Strengthens relationship with suppliers in order to ensure the right product at the right time with right price at the right place.
Focuses on Fast Moving products in order to achieve GP Margin.
Prepare monthly Category reviews and progress chart presentation to the Reporting Manager.
Ensures other income from the suppliers.
Devise long-term development strategies for product categories
Responsible for managing inventory and for effectively planning and forecasting to maximize the profitability of the inventory flow
Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands
Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility
Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category
Collaborate with Suppliers to expand product categories
Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory
Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for the category
المهارات
• Proven experience as FMCG Non-Food category Buyer or similar role
• Solid knowledge of FMCG Non-Food categories and sub-categories and sales principles
• Solid Knowledge of Fast Moving, Slow Moving, Shelf Life, Stock Turn Over, Low Contribution, Brand Loyalty etc.
• Knowledge of Merchandising.
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Proficient in MS Office
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
