Principal Objective:
Responsible for all assigned Post-award Contract Administration functions. Provides supervision and contractual guidance to other Contract Administrators within the Department, negotiation and administration. Responsible for protecting the Royal Commission and Company interests in all contractual matters and insuring policies are complied with as well as insuring legal and contractual compliance in all contractual matters.
Organizational Relationship: A brief synopsis of reporting relationships
Reports functionally to the Supervisor, Contract Administration. Provides support to the Manager-Building Section/SRCMs/RCMs. Interfaces with Senior Management personnel in establishing procedures and problem resolution. Negotiates directly with senior contractor personnel.
Major Activities Performed:
•
Provides legal and contractual guidance to Contract Administrators for post award construction contract. Managers-Building Section/SRCMs/RCMs within the Department.
•
Reviews work of Contract Administrators for correctness and policy and procedural compliance.
•
Plans contract activities, including pre-award schedules.
•
Advises appropriate Manager on contractual matters and is the principal advisor at the Project level with regard to the strategy for, and the conduct and recording of contract modification negotiations.
•
Performs Contract Administration duties and participates in the evaluation/negotiations process of Contract Modification as and when required.
•
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director, Construction Dept. and the Supervisor-CA
Job Description
•
Experience and Qualifications: List the background experience required for the position, number of years experience, in what fields. Describe the desirable academic background.
•
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science, QS, or Legal with twelve (12) years experience in contract award, negotiation and administration;
•
Fluent in English (writing, reading and speaking).
•
Must be computer literate and skilled in the use of word processing, spreadsheets and other analytical software tools.
•
At least two (2) work related references with contact information of the previous employer must be provided.
