Duties and Responsibilities

3.1 Carries out installation, maintenance and repair works on pipe medical gases, standby

Manifolds ,medical compressed air and medical vacuum installation.

3.2 Carries out welding procedure of medical gas pipeline using inert gas shielding.

3.3 Carries out checks and planned maintenance to ensure that plant continues to run in

optimum condition.

3.4 Ensures that all controls and alarms are fully functional, correctly set and that these settings

are recorded.

3.5 Ensures that there is an adequate supply of Medical Gases, LOX tank is available to

meet the demands of the hospital.

3.6 Canyout the filing of Medical Oxygen Cylinders as required and ensuring stocks is

maintained on wards and clinics.

A good working knowledge of the English language both written and spoken
