•Designing and preparing maps to display information as explained and supervised by urban planning/design staff.
•Integrating mapped information from different sources.
•Preparing design drawings for urban planning purposes including site plans, cross-sections and subdivision layouts as per established CAD standards within Urban Planning Department.
•Developing accurate subdivision layouts, site plans, land-use plans, parking & transportation studies from conceptual level sketches prepared by planning/design staff.
•Compiling information provided by urban planning staff into presentation drawings, including illustrative report graphics and large-scale plans.
•Assisting in preparation of other graphic presentation materials.
•Organizing, managing and archiving all documents related to the prepared maps and plan outputs.
•Other duties as assigned to support the Urban Planning Department.

•College or equivalent diploma and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in providing computer-aided drafting support in the production of maps, plans, subdivision plans and other graphic aids for urban design purposes.
•Proficiency using AutoCAD Release 17 or higher, AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcView in land planning and related fields. Familiarity with Revit and Sketch up will be considered as an asset.
•Direct experience in preparing computer-aided maps, schematic drawings, site plans (in plan and cross-sectional views) and subdivision layouts.
•Proficiency in delineating subdivision layouts based on conceptual plans prepared by planning and design Team.
•Basic mathematical and analytical skills and ability to organize and display data in presentation formats, including reduced-sized figures for reports and full-scale drawings for display.
•Ability to interface with Geo Data Base, and to adapt and apply data available from that source. Familiarity with ArcInfo is desirable.
•Ability to interact and communicate with professional urban designers, urban planners and civil engineers.
