The Manager of Industrial Safety Department is responsible for leading the safety, health and environmental activities, security, and emergency response at Yanbu Site and Jeddah Office, and strictly adhere HCIS (High commissioning of Industrial Security) rules and regulations with full compliances.
The Manager will implement and administer safety, health, and environmental management plans, police, standards and programs at the sites to establish world-class performance in Occupational Safety & Health, Process Safety, and Emergency Response.
The position is also responsible for the technical management of the sites security systems and processes
The position works collaboratively with the line managers providing guidance and counsel to help them successfully administer their responsibilities in keeping their people injury free. The Manager also empowers department staff in their effort to solving problems and developing plans for improvement.
In this role, you will be responsible of:
1. Management responsibilities include the following:
- Review organizational effectiveness and make appropriate changes
- Set strategic direction for the departments to achieve goals
- Design and implement processes to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing results.
2. Maintain compliance with all regulatory and corporate requirements including Health, Safety, Environmental, Security and ISO. Focus on developing processes and procedures that improve the performance of the operations.
3. Responsible for creating and fostering an environment that maximizes and recognizes employee contributions. Provide responsibility to the lowest level in the organization and maintain accountability of personnel to ensure each employee s contributions are maximized and recognized
4. Develops and implements safety, security, fire and environmental protection procedures that meets all company and regulatory standards
5. Defines and sets department goals and objectives
6. Liaises with local authorities in case of an emergency and others safety incidents. Leads Emergency & Crisis Response.
7. Develops and implements SMS and EMS in Cristal.
8. Leads the investigation team with respect to safety, fire, security and environmental incidents
9. Communicates with top management on safety, security, fire and environmental overview situations in the company, also other issues and developments
10. Coordinates with other Cristal Global safety environmental teams for continual improvement
11. Empowers department line managers for improving department staff outputs and improving safety, security, ERT and environmental level
12. Organizes periodic management review meetings.
Education/Qualifications Required:
BS in Engineering/Chemistry or Environmental Science; Has broad training in the fields of safety, environmental protection and industrial security or industrial management.
Course work or certifications specialising in Safety, Health, & Environment.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required:
more than 10 years experience in Manufacturing Industry.
more than 5 years experience in a Supervisory Role under HSE department.
Worked in Manufacturing Industry at either Jubail or Yanbu Royal Commission.
Familiar with HCIS rules and regulations.
Passed HCIS Security Screening Check.
