Electrical Engineer (IT) - Career Development Program
POSITION SUMMARY
The employee will be part of a technology team for Air Products’ new technology center in Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV) in Saudi Arabia. The candidate will work on deep learning (DL), machine learning (ML) and signal processing (SP) algorithms for sound and image processing, as well as implement these on an industrial-grade IoT platform. The primary focus will be on evaluating, implementing (coding, testing, validation), and preparing best practices in applying algorithms for the intended applications.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand and validate the underlying methods in DL/ML/SP algorithms and assess for use in the application based on a literature review of the latest developments
Troubleshoot problems in installation of firmware and setting up of a data pipeline
Test algorithms from developer communities and evaluate the new developments with available open-source code
Provide support in terms of recording and pre-processing field data (sound & image) and integration with Raspberry Pi IoT device
Apply DL/ML/SP algorithms to field data, arrive at performance metrics and methods to improve performance
Document and present test cases and best practices.

SKILLS
Familiarity with Numerical Methods, Deep Neural Networks, Machine Learning or Signal Processing
Hands-on experience in coding in Python is required, Git and Linux experience is a plus
Previous experience with applying Deep Learning algorithms is desirable
Previous experience or interest in sound or image hardware or processing, data fusion, IoT system integration (Raspberry Pi) is desirable
Must be a willingness to learn new methods and IoT platforms
