Job Description:
This is a hands-on role in nearly every aspect of Construction Management, including being responsible for Day-to-Day operations and the financial well-being of all construction projects. The COO is in charge of hiring and supervising the entire construction staff; planning construction projects; Managing Assigned Fleet; creating and managing budgets; preparing and reviewing Contracts and Subcontracts; participating in Safety Committee; and allocating resources where needed to effectively execute projects on-time, within budget, within specifications and to the Client’s satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing all construction and operation & maintenance projects, duties include the following:
• Managing the overall construction workflow process starting in the project origination phase, to estimating, negotiation, contracting, construction administration, financial management, and closeout.
• Defining the quality standards for all projects and monitoring and maintaining adherence to those standards.
• Managing project costs and maintaining project budgets.
• Hiring, developing, and managing Construction staff, including Project Managers, Supervisors, Superintendents, Foremen, and field staff.
• Establishing, monitoring, and overseeing project schedules using scheduling software.
• Negotiating contracts, change orders, subcontracts and purchase orders to assure that all project goals are being addressed.
• Supporting and interacting with Departments and Work groups, such as Environmental, Accounting, HR, and other internal support groups.
• Managing Assigned Fleet (Vehicles, Heavy Equipment, Small Equipment, Tools) and maintenance function to ensure fleet requirements.
• Actively participating as a member of Safety Committee and contributing to the safety goals.
• Measuring and reporting progress versus overall planned construction schedules.
• Meeting with owners and clients to determine project requirements, mange client satisfaction, and take immediate action to respond to problems and concerns.
المهارات
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Construction Safety certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in conventional Scheduling and project Management software.
• Project Management Professional Certification is a plus.
• Safety Management Certification is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Arabic & English)
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to travel to project sites and client meetings.
• Over 20 years of construction experience with 10 years in an equivalent responsible position.
• Strong technical knowledge of the construction processes.
