1- Instrument Designer - B.Tech is mandatory
• Reviews Client’s technical documentation and requirements.
• Optimizes instrument systems ensuring minimal cost and simplification in compliance with the required performance.
• Prepare control system specifications for DCS, ESD, SCADA, PLC etc.
• Prepares P&IDs;, Instrument Block Diagram, Wiring/Interconnection Diagram, Cable Layout Diagram, Instrument Loop Diagram, Cause and Effect Diagram, Instrument Hookup/installation detail drawings, instrument specification sheets, cable list, I/O list, Schematic Diagram, bill of material, construction scope of work, project cost estimation etc.
• Prepares project proposal engineering deliverable estimate etc at the bidding stage
• Prepare specifications for field instruments including flow elements Transmitter Pressure Transmitter Control Valves Relief Valves Temperature elements Temperature Transmitters Radar level gauges Custody metering systems level transmitters etc
• Sizing of control valves, safety relief valves, themowell wakeup frequency calculations etc
• Perform site visits and make miscellaneous instrument asbuilt drawings
• Prepare specification for fire and gas alarm systems including initiators like gas detectors flame detector etc Conduct constructability reviews
• Prepare scopes of work , deliverables lists and engineering manhour estimates
• Familiar with international codes and standards IEC ISA API SABIC ARAMCO etc
• Familiar with INTOOLS preferable and other Instrument softwares like Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI)
