Position Summary
This position will assist the Procurement team in meeting the organization’s objectives by ensuring efficient/transparent procurement and timely delivery of high quality goods and services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• End to end processes of Procurement, Logistics, and related Supply Chain activities
• In line with approved purchase requisitions, negotiate with vendors on best terms of service, including price, delivery, and payments. Prepare comparison sheet for award decisions by Supply Chain Head.
• Raise Purchase Orders in SAP based on agreed/approved pricing and preferred vendors. Ensure approvals based on set release strategies. Place PO to vendor.
• Arrange Letter of Credit/Advance Payment documentation and submission
• Frequently monitor delivery dates and follow-up for on time receipts. Communicate delays if any to relevant sales team.
• Arrange shipment as per agreed terms, through road, sea or air as per nature of goods and urgency.
• Obtain shipping documents and arrange custom clearance.
• Receive and submit invoices to Accounts Department where applicable.
• Identify new suppliers/resources/services for optimal sourcing. Maintain supplier data base, with performance ratings and historical prices.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of category markets/suppliers. Identify associated risks if any.
• Upkeep records/files/documents for all activities.
• Assist in day-to-day tasks and assignments as required by Supervisor/Management.
• Ensure protocols and requirements related to SASO/SABER are completed for all related products.
• Prepare of ISO related documentation, audit requisites, and ensure adherence to mandates.
• Liaise and develop relations within Supply Chain and internal customers. Determine needs by participating in development of specifications.
Key profile requirements
• Proven experience of 3 to 5 years in Procurement/Supply chain.
• Thorough knowledge of Procurement/Supply Chain related software, ERP (SAP)
• Strong organizational, stress, and time management skills
• Flexible to absorb change and adapt to fast changing business environment. Ability for multi-tasking with a proactive approach
• Strong influencing, problem solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
