Furnace technicians specialize in the installation and maintenance of heating appliances. Furnace technicians follow instructions and blueprints to maintain and install gas, electric, solid-fuel, oil, and multiple fuel heating systems. Common duties of furnace technicians include installing systems, performing maintenance on systems, performing safety checks, repairing heating systems, and other duties as called for.

Diagnosing and repairing furnaces in a variety of settings.
Troubleshooting and repair of different types of Burners and Boilers.
Preparation of reports on the work performed.
On-shore and off-shore of Instrumentation equipment.
The furnace technician will maintain and identify any problem encountered in any Furnace, that interferes with its proper performance by performing the following duties:
· Coordinate with maintenance personnel for the necessary furnace repairs prior to a temperature uniformity survey.
· Setting the combustion on Furnaces for more efficient performance prior to Survey.
· Calibrating the instrumentation of calibration such as the temperature recorders, temperature controllers and the over-limit controllers.
· Create the certification of calibration for each instrument
· Maintain sufficient furnace components such as a spare of control thermocouple, temperature controllers, T/C wire.
· Must have an understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions.
· Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policies, safety, and procedures.
2. Required Experience
3 Years of experience as a Technician in a related field.
3. Professional Qualifications / Certifications:
Completion of a certificate, associate’s degree or apprenticeship program in heating, air conditioning or ventilation technology.
Experience in working with the following manufacturers is a plus: Maxon, Krom Schroder, and Eclipse.
