KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
A leading large and diversified group in Saudi Arabia have an immediate vacancy for a qualified CFO with proven track record based on the below requirements:
• Restructure and lead the formation of the Finance and Accounting Department’s policies, procedures, systems, overall strategy and objectives while ensuring alignment to the corporate strategy. Monitor the implementation of the above in a timely manner.
• Manage all aspects of financial reporting and analysis. Production of timely and accurate information to meet the continuous needs of all internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead the development of the department’s policies and procedures, while ensuring that they promote leading practices and comply with laws and regulations. Attending monthly Business Performance Report reviews, and demonstrating an in-depth and detailed knowledge of the causes of any financial variances, risks and issues facing the business.
• Oversee the full spectrum of financial operations and play a key role in the development of company’s financial infrastructure across all businesses, subsidiaries and regions.
• Review the company’s cash flow and working capital requirements and ensure efficient cash management. Cash availability to meet capex, operating expenditures, loan repayment schedules and other commitments. Monitors and reports on options to reduce FX exposure.
• Manage all banking relationships and strong understanding in securing loans and repayments
• Participate in the formulation of corporate strategy. Support companywide strategically initiatives. Develop strategic models to assist senior management to understand and plan the shape of the business
• Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization that will improve the overall control framework. Ensuring that financial controls and governance from a legal and compliance perspective and that it fulfills its entire audit and accounting requirements.
• Direct and drive the preparation of forecasts and budgets based on agreed strategic objectives. Develops effective tools to read and monitor the financial performance of the businesses. Monitors progress against forecasts and budgets, highlighting favorable and adverse variances - ensuring appropriate action is taken to minimize adverse variances.
• Provide sound strategic financial input on decision making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of new capex, brands, geographic expansion, incentive policy, mark down strategy…
• Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any acquisitions, mergers, new business ventures, contracts, etc which the Company may enter into
• Evaluation of the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the function as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals..
• Preparation of Board presentations and meetings in line with best practices
• Assist in the development of management information system for all parts of the business
Oversee external audit preparation and effective timely completion of hard close and year end.
