Job Description
• Receive repair inquiries from customer or from service coordinator
• Prepare evaluation sheet and forward it to sales team or service coordinator for offer submission
• Consult with operations manager for required spare parts prior to attending the service
• Arrange onboard tasks requirements and all related tools.
• Install, serve and troubleshoot marine electronic and navigational equipment on board ships and Marine offshore drilling units (e.g. Radars, ECDIS, Inmarsat, MF/HF and VHF Radios, GPS, Gyrocompasses, Autopilots, SVDR, Chart Plotter, AIS, Sounders, EPIRB Maintenance
• Test & program all EPIRB and SART models
• Conduct AIS test, check & verify operational as per IMO regulations
• Conduct Radio Survey as per manufacturers and classes approvals (ABS, BV, DNV, GL & LR)
• Carry out installation, commissioning and testing of Fire Alarm systems
• Consult the service manager or operations manager for any problem that could affect the work
• Submit service report after the job/service completion
• Liaise with other departments to ensure that correct invoice is submitted to customer
• Run demonstration for customers in coordination with sales staff
• Ensure of providing customers with a high level of service and a rapid, flexible response to their requirements
• Maintaining records of all inspection, calibration and other job related performed
• Ensure that instruments/devices used are correct to monitor compliance with customer equipment
• Assuring that all inspection, measurement and test equipment affecting quality, safety and the environment is accurate, appropriate for the task and correctly calibrated.
