Job Description and Requirements
Key Skills and Technical Competencies:
Experience in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) set-ups & administration, back-ups & archiving, retrieval of data.
Experience in configuration and data mapping between other SmartPlant suites as SP&ID;, SP3D, SPF, SPEL, SPRD etc.
Proficiency in customization of forms/reports/commands/symbol library/custom properties/utilities.
Proficiency in SPI modules to prepare the complete engineering deliverables in SPI.
Liaise with Client information team and develop data turnover process and also validate the inputs from Clients/Vendors/Contractors and ability to analyze and evaluate new tools and deploy work process
Abilities to mentor the foster SPI users, strong experience in Infomaker, External Editor, Oracle, SQL.
Exposure in MS-access/ Excel / Visual Basic etc.
Must have an experience in field instrumentation & control systems engineering, well familiar with instrumentation engineering work flow in life cycle of projects.
Be able to provide support to instrumentation teams during detail design package preparation.
Familiarity of key Saudi Aramco engineering standards and procedures is desirable.
Ability to handle responsibility and complete projects within schedule.
Must be proficient in English both in oral and written.
Execellent technical presentation skills required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, specify, size, and select instruments and equipment required for control and monitoring of process units and utilities (BPCS, Safety Systems, SIS, SIL, Analyzers, PCS Communication, field instrumentation, valves, advanced controls systems, etc)
Develop basis of design documents
Perform site evaluation (site survey) for revamp and brown-field projects as required
Scoping of projects, including control systems deliverables
Develop work plans for control systems team
Develop control systems deliverables
Estimate work-hours
Develop Instrument calculations (valve sizing calculations, orifice plate sizing, voltage drop calculations, etc.)
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team, including the Clients
Responsible for design integrity of process engineering scope, performance of assigned staff, and on-schedule delivery of the work within budget
Lead technical presentations to Clients and their representatives as required
Provide technical leadership to ensure that applicable procedures and standards (client, KBR and international) are correctly applied.

Minimum Academic Qualifications and Years of Experience:
Bachelor of Science in Control Systems Engineering or any related engineering field and a minimum of seven years relevant professional engineering experience.
