Duties and Responsibilities

The employee will:

· Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates individual patient care.

· Establish and develops effective communications nursing support services, patients and relative.

· Maintain safety and well- being of patient in accordance hospital policy and procedure.

· Uses equipment and supplies in a cost effective and responsible manner.

· Ensures that the infection control practices are adhered in accordance with infection control policies.

· Participates in the on-going training and development program of the department.

· Takes responsibility of his / her own professional conduct and growth.

· Acts in accordance with hospital and departmental policy and procedure at all times.

· Establishes a good working environment in which patient receive a safe standard of care.

· Participate in the monitoring of the planning, delivery of care and evaluation of the individualized patient care.

· Inform the Head Nurse / Charge Nurse of any changes in circumstances which affect the standard of care.

Provides a safe therapeutic physical and psychosocial environment for patient care participate in the care, custody and administration of medicine in accordance to hospital policy.

· Ensures that all nursing documentation is completed accurately, legibly and understand the importance and relevance of their confidential nature.

· Assist in data collection for monitoring and statistical purposes.

· Participate in staff orientation and on- going developmental program.

· Demonstrate effective communication in the work place.

· Assumes accountabilities for quality care delivered to patient.

· Maintains confidentiality of patients illness and care.

· Behave in a professional manner at all time.

· Protects patients confidentiality in accordance with the hospital.

· Assisting staff in initiation of difficult access.

· Ensure the proper functioning of all the equipment and report to Charge Nurse / Team Leader.

· Provide staff evaluation on probationary period

· Troubleshoot Hemodialysis machine and patient’s access.

· Have knowledge in taking R.O. Water sample for microbiology, chemical analysis and endotoxin level

Provides health education to primary patient and relative.

· To promptly relay imperative communications to the department

· Must have good critical thinking skills.

· Must be computer-literate.
