الوصف الوظيفي Position Title & Grade: Operator – Reduction Area Reports to: Reduction Supervisor Department & Function: Reduction Area / Smelting Operations This position interacts with and operates equipments and machines, and perform skilled and unskilled work under general supervision in any of the Reduction room during 8-24 hrs period to complete a work process and function. The job holder plays a significant role in ensuring stable pot operation by independently carrying out the routine and non routine activities of the pot line in an efficient manner by operating the PTA and vehicles. Any inefficiency leads to disturbed pot operations and directly affects the production besides resulting in higher power consumption. The job holder also contributes to safety by ensuring that the activities are carried out in a reliable manner, as any deviations could jeopardies safety of the entire reduction line and can cause serious situation. · Perform routine and non-routine operational activities of the pot line, as directed by the shift supervisor or senior operator, during the assigned shift to achieve and maintain high quality standards associated with anode changing, metal and bath tapping, pot cutting and restarting, beam raising and miscellaneous activities. · Complete assigned work with minimal supervision within a shift to achieve panned targets and objectives. · Ensure that the operation of beam raising is carried out in safe manner and under the supervision of senior operator or shift supervisor. · Follow all SOPs, JSPs and complies with all standards when performing and completing the work activities. · Participate and contribute to the interdepartmental teamwork’s by displaying enthusiasm and commitment, and sharing a positive approach to work with their colleagues. · Carry out regular PTA, vehicles and equipments inspection at the shift start, ensures that there condition and cleanliness are well maintained to sustain operational needs. Identifies faults and abnormalities issues to enable prompt adjustments/repairs by maintenance personnel. · Provide feedback to shift supervisor on any equipments or process that may endanger a life, damage equipment or cause delay to the work process. المهارات The incumbent may develop knowledge of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) as well as Process knowledge (Polyvalent for all operating tasks in his own department) and EHS risk and procedures in a smelter.
