Maintenance Manager

The primary duty of the Maintenance Manager is to drive continuous improvement of the maintenance department in support of our Quality Management System and corporate objectives while insuring a safe working environment across the corporate and manufacturing site. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Plan and direct activities related to design, modification and repair of machinery, mechanical and hydraulic components of production equipment in a manufacturing environment

· Oversee the installation, repair, maintenance and operation of automated machinery and equipment such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Computer Numeric and other control instruments

· Responsible for the repair and maintenance of the office and plant facilities

· Ensure the effective leadership, evaluate and development core competencies and implement training for the maintenance department staff

· Monitor, measure and improve predictive and preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime

· Solve issues utilizing troubleshooting and root cause analysis tools

· Forecast and operate within the maintenance and site-wide capital expense budgets

· Monitor, analyze and report on key performance metrics for department

· Manage capital and other projects utilizing internal and external resources and report on status to milestones

· Participate as key member of management team in the implementation of lean manufacturing practices

· Responsible for specification and initial selection of plant related equipment to improve the effectiveness of operations

المهارات
· Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering or other technical discipline.

· 10+ years equivalent technical, engineering or maintenance job related experience in a high volume and complex production facility, preferably in plastics and/or chemical products.

· 10 + years maintenance management experience in a well managed manufacturing environment

· Demonstrated understanding of maintenance productivity and budget metrics

· Strong troubleshooting ability including root cause corrective action skills

· Proven project management skills and experience

· Good organizational skills, analytical ability, written and verbal communication skills

· Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and other enterprise software for purchasing and maintenance management

· Previous hands-on experience with industrial plant maintenance including hydraulics, pumps, electrical, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

· Experience with ISO 9001 implementation and compliance preferred
