SUMMARY
Interior designers Responsible for designing spaces inside buildings. Selects color schemes, window treatments, hardware, and lighting fixtures, carpet, artwork, paint, and furniture. Works with the architect on the layout of rooms. They then manage the work of turning their ideas into reality.
المهارات
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Keep up to date knowledge of engineering practices, procedures, and computer software programs.
Enhance the function, safety, and aesthetics of interior spaces.
Select samples, including flooring, carpet, and paint to be approved according to the client.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Submit drawings for approval by a department supervisor to ensure that the design meets building codes.
Draw up floor plans and sketches.
Use computer-aided design CAD to create drawings.
Supervise decorating of room.
Hang drapes and artwork.
Follow up with client to ensure design specifications have been met.
Undertake design project from concept to completion.
Define project requirements and schedule during the “brief”.
Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans.
Plan and estimate costs and project fees according to budget.
Research and decide on materials and products sourcing.
Produce “sample” and “mood products”.
Work closely with designers, decorators, architects and constructors.
Research and follow industry changes, evolutions and best practices.
Inspecting and surveying buildings.
Researching and drawing up rough plans.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the manager for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the department.
