Job Purpose
To provide PCC with the systematic application of personnel policies and procedures and day to day support in all personnel administration matters, in order to provide an efficient HR service to all employees.
Policies, Processes and Procedures
Recommends improvements to the HR policies and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of employee relations activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service
Day-to-Day Operations
Supervises the day-to-day operations of the employee relations department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures
New Hires Orientation
Provides new hires with employee orientation after on-boarding to ensure that all records are complete and that the new employee is aware of, and understands PCC’s policies and procedures related to HR including annual leave, medical insurance, working hours and leave
Ensures new hires’ employee files are properly archived and that all new employees are assigned an ID number and have the correct access cards in order to complete the required orientation process
Employee Services
Provides all employee related letters (salary certificates / employment certificates etc.) in order to meet employee needs as required and ensure minimal disruption to employee work-life balance
Contributes to the implementation and success of PCC’s human resource management system (HRMS) though the timely updating of information, utilisation of the system and the encouragement of subordinate(s) to use effectively
Documentation and HR systems
Monitors and controls employee annual leave updates, providing information and status updates as required to employees, line management and payroll to accurately reflect annual leave status and assist in the planning of leave, consolidation of payroll and update of human resource management systems (HRMS)
Reporting
Ensures that all relevant employee relations reports are produced on time and accurately to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards
Related Assignments
Performs other related duties or assignments as directed on order to contribute to the continuous operations of the department
