Job Description and Requirements -Lead process design & optimization for projects & studies; maintain and develop process simulation (ASPEN) and hydraulic models, material and energy balances, PFD’s P&ID;’s, and equipment performance specifications (including relief rates & preliminary sizing, thermal rating, etc.). -Develop competencies for process design in one or more areas of Aspen Simulations, Fluid Mechanics and Mixing, Excessive Pressure Management; Heat Transfer; Solids Handling and Dynamic Simulation. -Develop and maintain PE work process, design basis, standards and specifications. -Support technology implantation plans (TIPs) for projects, and in evaluating potential improvement opportunities and studies. -Develop equipment rating for existing and new equipment. -Coordinate and review (Peer review on in-house design and design review of contractor work) for the process design effort for projects & studies. -Support process safety in implementing LPP standards and environmental regulations, HAZOPs and RCPHA reviews, PHAST modelling and evaluation, and other Process Safety related reviews. -Support Tech Services for licensor reviews and approval for any process design changes to the existing and new facilities and in technology exchange with licensors. -Support Operations in executing licensor/vendor package guarantee test runs and in executing lenders reliability test.
