• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant qualifications
• A minimum of 10 - 15 years of experience of increasingly responsible experience, including experience in managing various projects
• Extensive experience in the same role in petrochemical industry is a plus
• Mechanical Engineering background and good knowledge of the majority of static and mechanical equipment’s in the oil and gas refineries (Heat Exchanger- Reformers- columns and vessels- etc....)
• Serving Maintenance contractors and Extensive knowledge of Primavera(L4 resources loading and integrated scheduling)
• Previous experience in handling many shutdowns in parallel
• Practical experience in the development and implementation of shutdown mitigation plans and project resource optimization practices.
• Adhere to company’s Safety and Quality Policies, Rules and Regulations
• Adhere to project & operational procedures
• Keeping the project planning department in line with business objectives while ensuring that Safety, Quality, schedule and cost targets are met
• Prepare the overall shutdown and pre-shutdown schedules as per client specifications
• Assigned project planners to project sites in line with manpower requisitions
• Responsible for the close out of any project and insure lessons learned are incorporated for future purposes
• Prepare the work file for each Project
• Utilize all other department input and resources if and when necessary
• Make sure the integration of maintenance and project work is successful
• Link, bridge and monitor the projects actual progress with the estimation and identify gaps if any
• Attend client meeting in regard to Shutdowns and Projects progress / planning
• Develop full scale Projects plans and schedule project timelines
• Monitor regularly and report on progress of the project to the management
• Provide direction and support to the project planning team
• Develop new internal processes, including the continuous improvement of performance of the planning department
• Report any additional, variation, deletion, changes in the scope of work
• Carry out any reasonable task as required by immediate Line Manager
