Workshop Maintenance Manager
Overview:
This role will be responsible for ensuring that our equipment is in good condition and that it meets all
safety standards. The Workshop Maintenance Manager will also manage the purchasing, tracking, and
maintenance of all the company’s fleet and equipment, as well as create and implement policies and
procedures to ensure efficient operation and maintenance cost reduction.
Responsibilities:
• Supervising and leading all the workshop maintenance processes and operations.
• Planning, managing all the repair activities, and preventive maintenance program.
• Leading the maintenance team to achieve the department objectives and to improve the work
performance.
• Assigning repair schedules in house /outdoor orders, and following up the work progress in all the
workshop Maintenance sections.
• Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
• Overseeing the encoding, documenting and daily progress reports.
• Creating and implementing the workshop maintenance procedures.
• Controlling the expenses and overseeing the parts, consumables orders.
• Track the workshop Maintenance KPI’s to monitor the work efficiency and technicians’ performance
to achieve the department objectives.
• Review the work progress report monthly and take any corrective action that may requires to
achieve the Maintenance objectives.
• Overseeing equipment/fleet utilization, and conditions at the sites and factories.
• Manage the requests of equipment/fleet from the construction and production departments to fulfil
their needs and ensure that they get what they need for not less or more than the needs.
• Review the technicians’ utilization, evaluation, and prepare the yearly manpower plan to
add/replace or reduce the manpower.
• Select new technicians/workers and overseeing training for new staff.
• Review the Equipment and fleet conditions to ensure it’s at working standards.
• Review the Equipment and fleet performance to propose and recommend replacing any unit will not
fit to ARA work standard or will affect achieving the department objectives.
• Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
• Report to the top management the monthly work performance in the workshop maintenance and
refer to the expenses and consumptions records.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in workshop management, specifically in the maintenance of diverse fleets of
vehicles and equipment.
• A minimum 10 years previous managerial experience.
• Strong technical expertise in automotive and heavy equipment maintenance.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies.
• Proficient in budget management and cost control.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
