Job Purpose:
Core Skills Trainer supports the Training Manager to deliver the required Coffee Excellence standards through the Costa training material, to monitor, measure and drive Brand Standards through implementation of the Core Operational Standards manual and a planned programme of Costa Checks.
Key Accountabilities:
· Core Skills Training
Ensures all Core Skills training materials are always up to date and available for immediate use
Trains all new employees on brand knowledge, core drinks, customer service and food safety.
· Costa Academy
Ensures the good condition of the academy equipment and facilities and that it is ready for use at any given time for training or events purposes
Ensures that training materials are always available for trainees/participants
Takes the stock inventory for the academy and inputs this on the MC with Training Manager’s approval
· Coffee Excellence
Assists and Supports the Training Manager in training and coaching, to ensure that all stores in our market meet the required Coffee Excellence standards and make sure that different training and coaching tools are available in every store.
· Barista of the Year and Latte Art Competition
Assists and coordinate in organizing the Barista of the Year and Latte Art Competition
Facilitate, communicate and engage the team in the Barista of the Year competition.
· Brand Standards
Costa Checks
Completes one round of Costa Checks per store per quarter
Deliver and embed clarity around measurement and reporting guidelines.
Ensure Brand Standards and the Costa Check system is trained in and understood within the Stores
Coach managers on their plan of action to address the marked down points in the Costa Check
Reports the results of the quarterly Costa Checks to the UK Market force
Brand Excellence Manual
Communicate any changes or update to the Brand Excellence Manual
Completes a store visit for all stores per quarter in order to see if all brand excellence points are kept to a high level

Skills, knowledge & experience required:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Able to positively engage, motivate and influence others
Excellent coaching and training skills
Good presentation skills
Good organizational and administrative skills
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience in operational management
Experience within retail hospitality sector (preferable coffee shops industry)
Computer proficiency
Bilingual. (Arabic - English)
Must be a Muslim.
The job applicant must have F&B;experience.
