RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in Hydraulic System improvement and repair for RSADF systems function and provide technical assistance to existing customer personnel that is covered under the currently approved TAA. Typical duties involve the following: * Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. * Prepares and maintains records pertaining to equipment failures. * Participates in on-the-job training (OJT) programs and assists the section officer in enforcing safety policies, procedures, and standards. * Ability to repair and perform DM on military heavy/light vehicles, Vehicle-Mounted Actuators, Fork-Lifts & all hydraulic cylinders & valves. * Performs Test/Inspect/Repair on hydraulic systems and verifies serviceability by comparing the test results to prescribed standards. * Performs adjustments and alignments for optimum performance. * Provides on-site maintenance assistance as required. * Fills out maintenance and supply forms and prepares patriot field reports (PFRs). * Assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems, chassis and cables. * Provides assistance during the inventory, inspection, the organizational level repair, functional verification and check out of MEIs. * .
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Requires advanced knowledge in the use of engineering documentation, schematics, general purpose commercial test equipment and common tools typically gained through extensive work experience and/or education. * High school, secondary school or equivalent with 4 years of experience. * May require vocational or technical education in addition to prior work experience.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
* Must have a minimum of four (4) years of Field Maintenance (FM) experience in trouble-shooting, fault isolation and repair of hydraulic systems OR * Must be experienced in maintenance and repair of the hydraulics, pneumatics and mast structures. AND * Proficiency in the English language both spoken and written.
