Cable Technician

The Cable Technician participates in the improvement, test and repair of cables for all The Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces RSADF systems. Performs other related duties as required or directed by the section officer. Wok location
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Participates in the improvement, test and repair of cables for all RSADF systems. Performs other related duties as required or directed by the section officer that is covered under the currently approved TAA. Typical duties involve the following: * Participates in on-the-job training (OJT) programs, opening and closing of work orders, and assists the section officer in enforcing safety policies, procedures, and standards. * Participates in preventive maintenance measures at all maintenance levels. * Prepare or create special test procedures and methods as required for the repair of special electric and light cables. * Implement approved engineering changes. * Test and repair Fiber Optic Cables and chassis * Comprehensive knowledge in tech drawings reading skills to identify dimensions, specs for parts requiring repair. * Soldering and cable fabrication * Utilization of cable inspection & measuring devices * Assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems, chassis and cables. * Provides assistance during the inventory, inspection, the organizational level repair and check out of MEIs. * Participates in preventive maintenance operations in all maintenance levels. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Requires advanced knowledge with tech drawings reading skills to identify dimensions, specs for parts requiring repair typically gained through extensive work experience and/or education. * High school, secondary school or equivalent with 4 years of experience. * May require vocational or technical education in addition to prior work experience REQUIRED EXPERIENCES: * Must have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in testing and maintenance of electronic and electromechanical equipment. * Proficiency in the English language both spoken and written.

This position requires a Saudi person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
