locationsYanbu time typeFull time posted onPosted Yesterday job requisition idJR0007780 Service Operations Department is looking for a Field Service Engineer to be located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is an interesting and challenging opportunity to be part of a dynamic, motivated & competent team and presents growth opportunities in one of the most interesting markets. The position will be responsible for the Preventive maintenance, repair, fault diagnosis and on-site servicing of Alfa Laval equipment’s, namely Decanters, Separators and Plate heat exchangers. The Service Engineer will be required to work across the region - envisaged travel will be 2- 3 weeks per month.
Key Responsibilities & Objectives
The position will be responsible for Commissioning, Troubleshooting, Preventive maintenance, Audits, and on-site servicing of Alfa Laval equipment at customer site such as: • Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of High Speed separators and decanters used in Energy, Marine & food application. • On- Site service & performance audit of , HSS, Decanter & Plate Heat Exchangers and prepare technical report with recommendations and training customer crew on operation of Alfa Laval equipment. • Troubleshooting of Electrical / PLC controls (EPC controls, 2 touch, Basic & Plus controls) associated with Alfa Laval equipment. • Act as a lead Engineer to perform Service agreements activities with full customer ownership. • Ad hoc participation in Service transformation projects and play a key role as Service advisor in generating service business leads. • Strong problem-solving skills who works on a structured and quality-conscious approach to provide our customers with high-level of service. It is important that you are flexible, independent, robust and thrive in a very active environment with much travel activity – acting as part of a dynamic team with colleagues around the region. • Candidates with past experience and high skills in troubleshooting of High Speed Separators (PX Range, GT, ALCAP types) & Decanters are preferred. • Should be sound in reading electrical drawings and capable of independent trouble shooting of PLC / Electrical control panels.
Workplace & Hierarchy
The position is located in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the work area is mainly focused on the installed base across KSA and middle East. The position will be reporting to Regional Field Service Manager located in Dubai.

Background
• An Engineering Graduate preferably in Mechanical / Electrical/Marine or equivalent technical educational background •
Minimum 5 + years of total experience and should have hands on experience in high speed rotating equipment’s (preferably High speed separators) used in marine, Energy or food industries.
• This position is open for Local and Expats. • Application knowledge in food and wastewater is an added advantage. • Strong skills in reading Electrical & complex P&ID;drawings, work experience in Electrical & PLC and Controls troubleshooting. • Strong communication skills in English, (spoken and written), are essential, along with high skills in using Microsoft portfolio (mainly Word, Excel and PPT). • Data analytic skills & project management experience will be an added advantage. • KSA Driving license is required.
