193628MBR JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities: Participates in the repair of welded parts/assemblies for RSADF systems that are covered under the currently approved TAA. Wok location Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Provide welding advice to the (directorate/section) manager.Collaborate with team for repair, test and checkout of launchers or other equipment requiring welding.Maintain all welding tools and misc. assigned tools in the depot to perform job task.Knowledge of proper shop ventilation required to perform welding and knowledge of how to keep the weld area (walls and floors) protected from sparks and hot metal. In depth understanding of reading drawings, blueprints and understanding welding symbols, as well as taking measurements to plan layout and procedures.Determining the appropriate welding equipment, process and/or method based on requirements. Setting up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws and/or gas apparatus to match measurements).Operate grinders with abrasives, wire brushes, and/or carbides to prepare the parts that must be welded.Align components using a calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).Apply any needed approved welding changes.Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety, Adhere to applicable RSADF safety policies, procedures and standards. Must wear protective helmets, respirators, gloves and clothing as necessary for safety.Perform other related duties as required by the section officer. This position requires a Saudi person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.Required Skills: Demonstrate the ability to pass a physical hands-on welding Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers, tape measure, etc.)Must be familiar with general delaminationDemonstrated ability in corrosion treatment and repair of metal and fiberglass surfaces
