الوصف الوظيفي The Safety Specialist is required to ensure a safe and healthy working environment on assigned construction projects. The Safety Specialist is required to monitor, provide oversight and implement a robust health and safety management system throughout the life of the Project. The Safety Specialist will provide advice and support to the Project Managers, Engineers, and client for all HSE matters at each stage of construction and handover at all stages of a construction project. Review and amend as needed each Contractors’ Health and Safety Plan, Health and Safety Manual, and Emergency Management Plan for compliance against the Client’s requirements in accordance with international safety standards and shall report to the Client whether the plans are acceptable, or make recommendations for improvement. Scope of work • Review and amend as needed of RAMS (Risk Assessment & Method Statement) to ensure the safety of all the individuals/properties involved in the activity. • Daily Project Inspection. • Participate in weekly Health, safety, and Environment (HSE) meeting for all projects. • Implement the project HSE program and the local safety rules. • Conduct general HSE toolbox meetings. • Participate in compliance evaluation of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure that environmental, safety and health standards of the organization and all applicable codes are followed. • Involved in the investigation of work accidents, injuries, and occupational diseases to determine causes and preventive measures. • Report findings from accident investigation, facilities inspection and environmental testing. • Regularly present HSE-related topics and safety meetings to workers to encourage awareness. • Prepare on a Daily / Weekly / Monthly basis Report as required by the management. • Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of his/her position. المهارات • Understand and review Risk assessments and method statements • Computer skills • Ability to conduct Safety Training Program • Knowledgeable in Environment Protection, Waste Reduction, and Loss Prevention. • Capable in conducting safety audits, accident investigation and analysis. • Hazard Identification. • Understanding of the related standards - ISO 18001 Non-technical Skills: • Report writing skills. • Proficiency in English. • Good communication skills. • Problem-solving. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is desirable • Certified Safety Professional through NEBOSH, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Certified (30 Hours General Industry & Health Standards). • ISO 18001 Internal Auditor Certification.
