Jacobs is supporting a Government organisation to help modernize and develop its communications network and part of this strategy is the implementation of a Nationwide Fibre Network. This includes the supply, installation and design of fibre optic projects at multiple locations (Central, East and West) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Installation & Networking Engineer will perform active and passive design assurance and appropriate support from individual suitably qualified SME’s where required.
Key responsibilities & experience
• To verify end to end network solutions, compliant with organizational and industry Standards, through-life design, capable of onward implementation and support by the company
• To provide technical subject matter expertise in network communication systems specifically fibre optic networks
• To provide guidance on fibre optic route planning for last mile connectivity
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to established contractual obligations and organizational process and procedures (Design Review, Configuration Control, Test, Acceptance and Artefacts)
• To verify Installation Designs and materiel as appropriate in support of project objectives
• Perform active and passive design assurance with appropriate support from individual suitably qualified SME’s where required
