JOB OBJECTIVE
Directs all production plants, manages and maintains the long term development of all machinery in the plants to produce competitive quality products at the required time, efficiently and effectively to achieve or exceed the production targets and financial goals.
Responsibilities
Manages the production and maintenance activities to ensure long term sustained profitability, and implementation of the plant strategies to ensure achievement of the company’s overall goals.
Coordinates the development of initiative in production in entire manufacturing and product development to ensure the manufacturing plants continue to provide its markets with appropriate products and maintains a competitive advantage.
Ensure the availability of all resources manpower, machinery and materials by developing the annual budget and seek the VP Operations approval.
Manages preparation for the annual plan by discussion of annual forecasts for capital, operating and manpower requirements for plants with the concerned committee.
Advises the maintenance managers on plants maintenance, upgrading, overhauling, preventive maintenance and support maintenance.
Ensure effective control of maintenance function of all plants and contribute to overall performance by developing and implementing long term strategies related to plan machinery.
Maintain the standards & regulations by ensuring that all activities in the plant are carried out in accordance with local and international standards and regulations.
Prepare, obtain approvals and implement capital expenditure plans which ensure that future manufacturing needs are met with acceptable cost limits and also achieve balance between sustainable growth in production capacity and capability to match sales forecast requirements.
Establish/Decide a plan for the production Manager to lead the Production staff on daily basis to maintain all the plant products and approve proper corrective and preventive action for generated defects to minimize the repetition of non-conformance.
Manage/ Advise, to resolve any major or critical problems or incidents related to the operations.
Ensure all Sections managers are implementing the total quality management system through the production departments and all process activities are carried out in accordance with Standard requirements.
Ensure that all Sections managers are implementing the continuous improvement programs / maintained within the plant so that effective throughput is achieved.
Oversee & Assure that production manager is determining the root cause of deviations from the goals and objectives stated in the mission of and develop with the team, the actions required to reduce the variation.
Direct the development of the all cable manufacturing process to optimize the efficiency of the plant and ensure that current financial and operational objectives for maintenance and production are met or exceeded.
Provide overall leadership to all production and maintenance activities.
Take responsibility for all capital expenditure within approved budget by monitoring operating performance and initiates remedial action as required.
Monitor maintenance KPIs, breakdown analysis and condition monitoring to improve product quality and OEE.
Manages handling the central forklift and power generation.
المهارات
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field. Preferred Post Graduate degree in Business or related field.
15 years’ broad based business and industrial management experience in the cable manufacturing industry, at least 8 years at a senior management level.
Knowledge – trouble shooting planning skills.
Very Good written and spoken English & Arabic.
Excellent Leader ship skills & a Team Motivator.
Excellent Communication, Negotiations, Presentation skills.
Excellent in MS Office & Computer skills.
