Key responsibilities and duties of the role: • Strategically plan and manage warehouse and transportation. • Implement a complete supply chain management system. • Liaise and negotiate with suppliers including building relationships (which will include the occasional travel overseas. • Maintain metrics and analyses data to assess supplier performance and implement improvements. • Ensuring all orders are expedited and checked to ensure they will be Arriving within the agreed time scale. • Keep accurate records of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency. • Warehouse management including arranging the warehouse, stores, plan routes and process shipments Overseeing returns, backorders and supplier deliveries to manage supplier warranty claims including keeping a log of time and the problems. • Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements of the Quality controls, to be completed correctly and ideal. • plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met • Maintaining inventory • Ensure early alert of supply shortage and implementation of solutions • Ensure all concerned parties are noticed in case of supply issues and include solutions Planning and Forecasting: 1. Prepare the yearly procurement budget; ensure the compliance with the company strategies and policies. 2. Analyzing supply chain data and performance 3. Forecast price and market trends to maximize profit and identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power 4. Effective demand planning forecast to ensure safety stock are always meeting agreed percentage/quantity. Operation: 1. Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability. 2. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors. 3. Monitor supplier and vendor compliance with contractual agreements; introduce performance improvement measures for suppliers and vendors. 4. Review with the concerned departments the stock levels and determine quantity and timing of deliveries. 5. Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of payments. 6. Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding quotations. Communication: 1. Hold regular status meetings with Supply Chain department team. 2. Keep supply chain team well informed of changes within organization. 3. Communicate relevant supply chain information in the market to top management. Team building and Teamwork: 1. Coordinate and conduct education and training programs for supply chain personnel. 2. Seek and participate in personal development opportunities above and beyond training required by systems. 3. Effectively utilizes each team member to his fullest potential. Analysis Monitoring, Development and Reporting: 1. Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly 2. Maintain supply chain inventory and records. 3. Direct continuous improvement of supply chain processes in line with changing organizational needs and market conditions 4.
