الوصف الوظيفي Duties & Responsibilities: · Determine buying requirements and formulate assortment plan/range plan to finalize the budget for the assigned department · Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments in the buying processes. · Align the buying plan to the overall department/category business plan and the merchandize strategy as laid down by the manager. · Pursue cost reduction measures through centralized bulk buying and/or selecting appropriate vendor mix, scanning the environment for benchmarks, and constantly improving the purchase process. · Identify and leverage alternate buying opportunities to source products & ensure that company maintains its competitive edge. · Identifying customer preferences, monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers. · Forecast the M-o-M sales, gross margin and sales contribution at a category and subcategory level. · Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and best practice tools and methods. · Manage the entire PO process to ensure optimal inventory. · Map competition prices/products and provide qualitative inputs to the business. · Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and PO release process. · Visit the market to research products & study market trends. Use the market visits to also add more suppliers to the base. · Work with the WH to ensure correct in-warding of stocks as well as clear any other issues in the process.
