الوصف الوظيفي Ensure an optimized network environment where all network components are maintained, up-to-date and supported, with minimal downtime and least negative impact on Zahid Tractor Business. Principal Accountabilities: Research, design and develop technical utilities. Provide Technical training for I.T. Operations & Development staff. Provision of technical support for operational troubleshooting. Work management and telecommunications configuration. Priorities non-project development work. Optimization of network and hardware performance. Managing/monitoring the performance of the network and hardware and recommend to management any required changes, to ensure consistent performance of all network components. Upgrading the Operating Systems of the various components on the Network (i.e.: servers, IBM i (System i, AS/400)s, .. etc.) Job Requirements: Education : Bachelor degree in Computer Science Experience: At least 3 years working with IBM i (System i, AS/400), PC LAN servers, or Lotus Domino computers with a history of positions requiring a good understanding of OS/400 or NT. 2 years experience with IBM i (System i, AS/400), SNA configuration, TCP/IP configuration, APPC programming and operational support of such communications links. An understanding of communication products and architectures relevant to APPC/APPN configurations on an IBM i (System i, AS/400), and Windows NT. Experience of personal computer attachment to the IBM i (System i, AS/400), and an understanding of how this attachment can be utilized by other communication related software products and Network Management. Experience in APPN Network Management to allow best design of a network topology that will compliment the software products to be run on the network. At least 3 years experience in designing utilities using advanced CL programming techniques, user defined command definitions and RPG. Experience with IBM i (System i, AS/400) connection products e.g. RJE, 3270 Emulation. The experience should involve configuration and support of these products.
