JOB PURPOSE
Manage the quality control department to ensure that quality standards and procedures are implemented and aligned with the required specifications. Establish quality performance standards, procedures, and audit controls in order to meet business requirements, as well as identify and implement process for continual improvements to reduce customer complaints and increase the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of company operations to achieve overall annual and future AGM strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Corporate Strategy
Develop and execute the department long-term strategic plan in alignment with the corporate strategies.
Report to the Operations Director on the progress of activities against the annual business plans, opportunities, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken, etc. as required, to make an informed decision.
Manage and continuously monitor the performance of the department to ensure performance deviations are identified in a timely manner, and required resources and actions are implemented to meet performance targets.
Leadership.
Oversee the department’s performance by managing performance of direct and indirect reports, defining workforce requirements, recruiting, training and developing talent, in conjunction with the Human Resources Services function, to ensure competent, qualified and highly motivated staff enable the achievement of the department objectives.
Organisation Structure
Recommend an optimum organisation structure for the department in coordination with the Operations Director and the Human Resource Services function to ensure that resources are optimally utilised, and communication can take place in an efficient manner.
Change Management
Manage the identification and implementation of change initiatives on systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’, and changes in the business environment.
Quality Operations
Maintain the quality control operations by ensuring that the system and procedures are within the requirements of ISO standards and company quality objectives to achieve desired output.
Coordinate with the production managers & sales managers and participate in product change control activities, devise and ensure implementation of quality plans within desire drawings, and also assist in ensuring product comply with relevant quality standards and customers’ expectations.
Work with Design on new component introduction, alternative raw materials, tooling requirements, test plans, and product qualification requirements to reduce product cost without compromising on quality.
Implement all test, checks and controls to ensure that potential problems and root causes are identified, impact assessed and actions to reduce customer complaints by big margin.
Liaise with and manage external suppliers and technical consultants ensuring contracts are delivered on time, to the standards required and that AGM gains the most benefit from the investment made.
Policies, System, Processes and Procedures
Manage the development and implementation of the Quality department policies, systems, processes, and procedures, and continuously identify and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with AGM’s standards and regulatory requirements, align to business requirements, and increase operational effectiveness.
Ensure compliance to all relevant quality management procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, delivery of high-quality products/service.
Ensure that all department are adhering to Quality objectives, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) to enhance and improve the working environment.
Related Assignments
Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
المهارات
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Bachelor’s degree with Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical or Polymer or other related field.
Excellent knowledge of ISO 22000:2005 and ISO 9001:2008 and other related standards.
Excellent skills in Process Improvements, Strategic Planning, Quality Engineering, Emphasizing Excellence, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Dealing with Complexity.
Minimum 10 years of experience in related field.
