الوصف الوظيفي Integrates clinical findings, dim:ts patient observation, laboratory r:csuhs. and another diagnostic test to determine the presence of infections 8CCOl’ding lothe criteria established by the CDC and Responds to survciUmce of infections based on the Infection Control SurveiUancePlan for asmgned in patient and ambulatory care Wlits. Inputs and maintains accu:rale data inthe infection control database. Provides a basic level of epidemiological investigation of infections across the hospital and applies epidemiologic principles in data analysis, identification of trends, risk factors, and designing improvement initiatives. Makes recommendations and initiates appropriate isolation precautions to be used for known or suspected infectious processes, and discontinues precautions. Performs appropriate follow-up of employees who have unprotected exposure to diseases for which specific protocols exist. Collaborates with the Infection Control team and other relevant stakeholders on activities, decisions, and actiOnS. .related to the environment of care and risk management. Participates in the development and revision of the infection control policies and procedures. Participates in departmental and hospital-wide performance improvement activities. Ensures that Standards for Joint Commission lntemationaJ Accreditation (JCIA)and Central Board of Accreditation for Healthcare Institutions are met. Serves as a resource on infection control practices and policies for patients. families and staff. Serves as a member of the Infection Control Committee and other Hospital committees as assigned. Educates peticnlS and/or families on matters relevant to the patient’ s condition/s asapplicable. Participates in self education, training and development, as applicable . Follows all established HospitaJ policies and/or procedures. Protects and upholds the rights of the patients and their families. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Perfonnsother duty with the ratlm of her knowledge, skills and abilities as delegated/assigned . المهارات Ability to deal with tact and diplomacy to patients and staff alike.
