الوصف الوظيفي Assists and conducts out-patient cardiac anaesthesiaclinicand follows departmentaipolicies. Assess the patients prior to anaesthesia and surgery either in patients (admitted) orpatientcomingtO the anesthesiaclinic,andrqx>rt to the consultants. Write orders and prescnbe medications witboi’n restrictions, but without defying ; ‘ hospital rules · Perform diagnostic or· thcnpeutic invasive procedures for which he/she is· specific.ally privileged Inform the relevant consultant to whom be is responm’ble in advance of any major cases. Advise on.when the patients can be safely returned from the recovay areas to the ward or indaycases, whenthe patient can leave the hospital. Share actively in patient & family education in collaborativewith all related other healthcare givm. · · Provide appropriate support, direction and training to trainee medical offica\“S, and medical students and paramedical personnel by: Participating in·the ·education of trainee medicalmedical studentsand parmnedical personnel. Actirig as a role model and mentor for trainee medical staff, nurses and medical students. Participating iiithe continuous educational activities inthe department. Participating in teaehing and supervision of the anaesthesia residents and cardiac anaesthesia fellows dming their training period in the cardiac anaesthesia department Comply th the standards laid down by the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards(JCIA), performs the duties necessary to support and aclrieve accreditation. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous service improvement by participating in clinical and departmental meetin8’ Fulfilling the ents of the Saudi Council for Health Specialties with regardto continuingmedical education. · Participating in programs designed to provide personal growth and development. Promote and contnbutc to the maintaiance of a safe working environment by: Reporting all incidents, accidmts and observed hazards to their supav:isor or manager as soon as posst\“ble and assisting in the inve.st.igation process. Supporting the role of the health and safety representatives by keeping them informed of any issues relatingto health, safety andwelfarein the workplaces. Participating inappraisalsto evaluate work health and safety performance. Participate.inand contn’bute to the academic life of the Cardiac AnaesthesiaDepartment by: Participating .in and/or actively supports approved research project Participating actively in educational activities (eg: Grand Rounds, Department Mcetinp and Jomnal Club). ContnlJUting to the supervision of postgniduate studmts. Participate in administrative mattm as required by director of thedepartmait of cardiac anaesthesia. - Deputises for the Consultant as required and shares workload iiihis- during the absence of his colleagues. Strives’ to improve his clinical se as wellas standard of practice with regard to morbidity andcost effectiveness. Demonstrate a commitmmt to the provision of a multidisciplinary approacli to clinical Care by: Workingharmoniously with all membcn of the clinical team. Ensuring effective communication with care providers, to promote continuityof patient care. Being responsive to the- expectations and needs of both clinical and non clinical colleagues. To acquire and maintain a valid certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Participatesin the Major Disaster Plan of thehospital,as indicated المهارات Good physical and mental health and the ability to performwellWlderpressure forlong hours.
