Job Purpose:
To manage the areas of sales as per hotel standards to achieve a professional rapport within the local business community and to ensure revenue production for the hotel, and meeting or exceeding planned revenue objectives for occupancy and average daily rate.
Responsibilities:
Recommends improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of the Sales activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
Prepares and recommends the Sales section budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed.
Monitors the financial performance of the Sales section against budgets so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Sales section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures .
Develops the hotel’s marketing and sales plan based on Elaf’s strategy and the hotel’s position and strengths within each market segment.
Analyses and understands the competition’s strengths and weaknesses for each market segment and successfully directs marketing activities against each.
Ensures the Implementation of the hotel’s marketing and sales plan in order to attract market segment and achieve sales targets.
Identifies and maintains constant communications with the hotel’s key accounts in order to ensure business continuity.
Actively sells room nights through travel agents, outside sales calls, telemarketing, tours, etc.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience at a relevant position.
Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or relevant degree.
Language: English and Arabic.
Gender: Male/ Female.
Negotiation skills.
Presentation skills.
Knowledge of Policy & Procedure.
