الوصف الوظيفي
Responsible for the smooth running of IT equipment, services and backups as well as installation of new devices including maintaining operations log books and ensuring the physical safety and security of the computer room and company data.
· Install and troubleshoot users’ operational hardware and software on Zahid’s network and resolve as many user-reported issues as expertise permits using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases
· Research solutions using knowledge bases, internet, and vendor documentation.
· Act as a liaison between users and technical/development staff to ensure accurate issue interpretation, and maintain communications with users during the problem resolution process
· Escalate issues as appropriate, and courteously obtain and convey concise issue information for Technical support/development staff
· Assist with assigned user account administration and file rights management
· Provide accurate and timely logging of issues and corresponding resolutions in the Helpdesk management database
· Check backups on daily basis and report issues to designated operations and technical support staff; rotate and maintain backup tapes library for all the production jobs
· Cooperate with team leaders to follow and implement all directives, policies, and procedures issued by the IT Department, and keep them updated about the operational issues
· Provide feedback and assist in updating the policies, procedures and operational decisions taken by direct managers.
· Coordinate with system operators in remote locations to resolve issues and/or complete tasks.
Any other duties assigned by the Support Team Lead or IT management.
المهارات
· Degree in Computing or a technical certification/qualification in the Information Technology field
· Knowledge of Networking Architecture, Operating Systems, Hardware, Software and Business Critical Systems
· Knowledge of Hardware, Software, Troubleshooting and Analytical thinking
· Fluency in both English and Arabic
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
