JOB OBJECTIVE
Plans, directs and carries out operation, preventive Maintenance and repairs of Utility systems equipment’s in production plant to ensure continued operation and efficiency of plant and machinery.
This position is a working engineer involved in all aspects of utilities trade work as well as providing direction to utility technicians regarding trouble shooting technique and repair work.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Plan, Directs and carries out preventive & corrective maintenance, repairs, overhauling, modification and installation work for utility systems including chilled water system, cooling tower, compressed air system, Hydraulic system, water treatment , steam boiler, water pumps, and gases operations
Determining job requirements for all scheduled and requested utility maintenance jobs.
Inspects utility equipment and parts at work site to determine extent of work, materials and tools requirements for carrying out effectively maintenance activities.
Arranges support services from other trade as required and after completion of maintenance ensures that equipment is given back in service. Makes minor and major adjustments to see that utility equipment is running well.
5. Maintains records of all spare part or equipment taken from the machines for repair in the utility workshop, schedule repairs and ordering of unavailable spare parts and equipment and provide specific advice on work method and material requirement.
Maintains the cleanliness and orderly arrangements of the utility workshop, and assists in the control of all the documents related to utility maintenance.
Assists in conducting technical study and analysis on difficult or repetitive utility equipment malfunctioning, particularly on utility function and advises and recommends solution or modification to increase machine efficiency and utilization.
Maintains and updates stock of utility consumable spares in the utility workshop to provide immediate repair equipment, and liaison on special purchases of utility items.
Ensures that all utility maintenance activities in Power Cables are carried out safely and in accordance with maintenance policies, procedures, and manufacture’s recommendations.
