MRS : Service engineer

Job Description
Job Purpose
 He will be responsible for the complete service activities of Epiroc Machines in

the assigned territory and supports (to ensure the SERVICE targets are

achieved) the installed fleet to the satisfaction of customers, while ensuring

Atlas Copco guidelines are strictly followed..

 He is expected to guide the new Distributors into Epiroc way of working and

gain customer satisfaction through these channel partners.

Mission
 Assist customers in ensuring their machines are operating to the optimum level

through regular preventative service & audit programs as well as training their

service and operator personnel through training programs and on the job

training. To support Epiroc capital equipment within their area by offering

service and maintenance packages to suite customer requirements.

Key Accountability
 Training and Coaching of customer Maintenance personnel.

 Training and Coaching of Operators.

 Route Cause Analysis on repetitive failures.

 Assembly & Commissioning of Drill Rigs (Direct or via Distributors)

 Timely reporting of warranty complaints and product quality related issues.

 Installed fleet mapping

 Special focus on Key customers’ satisfaction in the region

 Supporting P&S;manager in setting Epiroc targets for parts and service revenues

 Support recruitment and training of customer Service personnel.

 Support customer with suggested stocking guides

 Forward customer feedback and any leads on new equipment requirements

 Support in promotion of Equipment / component rebuilds

 Track utilization and ensure more than 95% efficiency

 Promote and carry out routine audits

 Provide audit & service reports

 Promote service & maintenance packages.

 After hours and standby duties as and when required.

 Ensure you work to the safety requirements of the job site at all times and a

minimum safety level of the Epiroc safety standards

Key Performance (Targets) Indicators
 As per the Annual VC

Competency Requirements
 Relevant trade certificate, Degree/Diploma or equivalent

 Must have experience on the Atlas Copco range of Drill rigs

 Experience on Hydraulic Drill Rigs

 Experience with audits and preventative maintenance programs

 Electrical & mechanical experience

 Experience in Hydraulic systems

 Computer literate

 Good customer relations

 Good telephone manners and skills

 Good product knowledge

 Interpersonal skills to work with customers and suppliers

 Experience in report formatting and writing

 Be able to work independently without supervision

 Be presentable to customers

 Must be self-driven and able to work within a team

 Must be trustworthy

 Must be able to accept responsibility for resolving customer issue’s

 Driving License

 Valid Passport

 Minimum of 3 years in Parts & Service environment
