Read drawings and understand fabrication process and sequence.
Cutting & weld bevel edge preparation of steel plates, beams, and piping using cutting torches and other equipment.
Fit-up /assembly of mast and substructure & accessories, pressure vessels and piping.
Withdraw suitable welding consumables from stores for tack welding. Should be able to weld using SMAW and MIG welding.
Safe handling of cutting/welding gases and tools/grinders.
Grinding and cleaning/Dress up of the work pieces & welds
Capable to use various measuring tools like Tapes, fabrication tools and weld gauges etc.
Shall have experience with handling overhead cranes, forklifts etc.
Clean workplace and safe handling of materials.
Maintain safety regulations and obey company safety rules.
Performs other duties as assigned.
المهارات
The individual shall have Minimum 7 years of experience in Heavy Steel fabrication industry preferably from Oil and Gas.
Capable to read blueprints/drawings and interpret fabrication requirements.
Capable to read and interpret welding procedures.
Capable in fabrication of steel structure, piping fabrication, tanks, pressure vessels and assembly works.
Directly reporting to Fabrication supervisor
Solid blueprint interpretation skills and well versed with engineering drawings of mast and substructure, mud systems, pressure vessels, piping, process & structural.
Shall have sound technical knowledge in materials, fabrication processes, NDE inspection processes and general construction activities.
Should be able to use manual cutting torch for cutting steel plates, pipes and structural steel.
Must have basic knowledge of English speaking and writing.
Having sound knowledge of fabrication processes and principles (Welding, cutting, pressing, gas/plasma cutting works, fit up work etc.).
Expertise knowledge in tools required for welding and gouging.
Proven track record of result deliveries in challenging project environments.
