SUMMARY:
Capable to read blueprints/drawings and interpret welding requirements.
Capable to read and interpret welding procedures.
Capable to produce Fillet, PJP, CJP & 6G quality welds on various metals like carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steels.
Capable to weld “TIG, GTAW, SMAW, SAW & FCAW “process on piping and structural steels.
Directly reporting to welding supervisor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Read Welding procedures and understand welding process.
Withdraw suitable welding consumables from stores as per WPS.
Welding of pipes and structural items as per welding process specified in the WPS.
Perform back gouging where applicable.
Provide proper connections to welding machines, Holders, gauges, and tools.
Safe handling of welding gases and tools/grinders.
Grinding and cleaning/Dress up of the work pieces & welds.
Capable to use various welding gauges and measuring tapes/instruments.
Ensure clean workplace and equipment.
Maintain safety regulations and obey company safety rules.
Performs other duties as assigned.
المهارات
The individual shall have Minimum 7 years of experience in various welding processes.
Shall have sound technical knowledge in materials, welding & gouging processes, NDE inspection processes and general construction activities.
Should be able to qualify third party welding qualification test in 6G position.
Must have the knowledge of English speaking and writing (as all our procedures and forms in English).
Read and interpret weld process according to AWS and ASME section IX.
Proficient in structural/vessel tack weld for fitting, MIG/FCAW/TIG/SAW/SMAW welding, burners, and similar equipment.
Having sound knowledge of fabrication processes and principles (Welding, cutting, pressing, gas/plasma cutting works, fit up work etc.).
Expertise knowledge in tools required for welding and gouging.
Solid blueprint interpretation skills and well versed with engineering drawings of mast and substructure, mud systems, pressure vessels, piping, process & structural.
Proven track record of result deliveries in challenging project environments.
