Senior Consultant (Expert)
Qualifications
1. Degree (Bachelors and/or master s degree or equivalent) in Law.
2. Professional and education background.
3. Overall supervision to be exercised.
4. Prior experience of the Consultant with respect to the required experience listed.
5. Years and types of experiences.
6. Professional oral and written communication skills.
7. Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, communication (verbal and written).
8. Flexibility to manage a diverse range of responsibilities.
9. Business-level fluency in English and Arabic.
10. Ensure the deliverables are in high quality standards.
11. High efficiency with Microsoft office.
12. Good analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
Job Description
1. The Senior Consultant shall work with Contracts Management to impart sufficient
knowledge regarding preparing, formulating, drafting, and reviewing commercial
contracts, official documents including but not limited to Letters, Amendment,
Change request (CR), Request for Proposals (RFPs), and Request for Quotations (RFQs) both General and Technical and to provide solutions upon request on a case-
by-case basis and making necessary amendments to them with justifications (in both Arabic and English languages).
2. The Senior Consultant must be qualified as contract consultant (Minimum 7 years
experience) to provide services as and when needed for Tahakom as per the
applicable laws in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
3. The Senior Consultant is responsible to provide contractual advice in both Arabic
and English. Hence, the qualified Senior Consultant must have proficiency in both
English and Arabic.
4. The Senior Consultant must be able to provide to Contract Management Team with
guidance and input on redline changes, conduct negotiations with third parties and
provide contractual opinion ensuring the best interests of business for Tahakom.
5. Provide contractual advice and support on new and existing projects and providing
expert sound business decisions from a contractual standpoint that will enable and
facilitate crucial decision making.
6. Determining contractual risks related to specific projects and ways to mitigate them
and making suggestions to the concerned providers in order to proactively manage
risks and prevent damages in a timely manner.
7. Develop and review all documentation related to assigned projects from a
contractual perspective and make all necessary modifications to meet the needs of
the projects as applicable.
8. Implement Tahakom s procurement policy in relation to contracts / agreements.
9. Be able to attend to Tahakom s meetings upon request.
10. Develop workflow procedures and internal SLAs for the Procurement and Logistics
Department.
11. Provide Tahakom s Contact Management with weekly report on work assigned,
completed and in progress.
12. Meet Tahakom representatives and perform research to gather pertinent
information for each of Tahakom s projects from a contractual perspective.
13. Work closely with Tahakom s Contract Management to understand their
contractual concerns and needs to help provide them with essential pieces of
strategy and advice.
14. Resolving contractual queries based on solutions that achieve cost efficiency for
Tahakom.
