CAE Tools Engineer

Requirements:
Transferable Iqama Candidates only
Essential: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
Min 5 years of experience in all phases of chemical or petrochemical projects Certificate and credentials in CAD/CAE, lean manufacturing and six sigma.
Administration (Customization) experience in one or more of the following tools i.e. Smart Plant P&ID;, Smart Plant Instrumentation, Smart Plant Foundation, VTL or Smart Data Validator
Development and Automation experience in MicroStation, Excel VBA.
Develop inhouse utilities & webpages
Responsibilities:
Upgrade professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publication, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Assist in conducting training sessions for operators, engineers and technicians.
Coordinate and participate in Engineering System audits.
Work with users and utilize software and systems troubleshooting techniques to provide second line of support to identify the root cause of problems in applications and resolve them for proper operation.
Escalate unresolved application issues to the appropriate solutions provider.
Provide Project/MOC/WO Support and technical assistance in Engineering System- Design Environment.
Maintain document, data and deliverable format standards in cooperation with Discipline SMEs, and ensure these standards are incorporated in ITBs for internal and external engineering work. Participate in quality reviews of internal and external project deliverables.
Work with IT representatives to improve engineering applications performance as required and to assure continued application compatibility with underlying corporate software and hardware infrastructure.
Provide Engineering Systems access according to the IP Requirements
Evaluate license usage for the different engineering software s and identify potential cost-savings or additional required ensuring the work continues smoothly
Evaluate vendors and service providers for sound Sadara Drafting/Software related practices and conformance with established safety and design criteria; recommend approval or disapproval
Responsible for the administration, maintenance and support of engineering applications, including 2D design tools, visualization of 3D facility models, process modelling and simulation, document management for engineering information, and specialist engineering calculation and modelling tools.
Participate in systems design and development and regularly present analysis results to engineering peers and leaders.
Ensure the maintenance of Engineering databases to include all supporting information related to various engineering projects. Oversee and control the electronic drawing files, survey data files of completed and current projects for easy identification and reference.
Perform data processing activities such as data cleaning, conversion tool development and database management.
Ensure that all principles, procedures and practices strictly comply with EH&S;guidelines, regulatory and permit requirements.
Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.
Good knowledge on Engineering Data Management Systems & CAE Tools in the Industry.
Good Knowledge on maintaining & enhancing the Engineering Systems along with its components which are being used in Sadara.
