Plansand administers Physical Therapy (PT) programs to patients to restore function,relieve pain, and prevent disability. Rehabilitates patients within the scopeof the PT program.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1.Assesses patients to determine level offunction.
2.Establishes treatment goals and administersappropriate PT procedures.
3. Observes any unusual reactions, documentstreatments and patient progress, and ensures that supervisor is informed ofrelevant patient information progress.
4. Liaises with physician regarding patientprogress and modifies treatment goals in accordance with patient progress.
5. Teaches and demonstrates PT programs topatients, family members and provides information about therapy procedures tonurses and new employees.
6. Assists Senior Physical Therapist withprotocol development in assigned areas.
7. Oversees PT Assistant in application of hotpacks, cold packs and whirlpool, and paraffin baths.
8. Participates in conferences withphysicians, nurses, and allied medical personnel relating to the physical,emotional, and socio-economic problems affecting the health and welfare ofpatients.
9. Reports need for maintenance or repairs ofequipment to Service Supervisor.
10. Participates in self and others education,training, and development, as applicable.
11. Follows all Hospital related policies andprocedures.
12. Performs other related duties,as required.
Education
Bachelor sor Associate Degree/Diploma in Physical Therapy is required.
Experience Required
*Grade 08:
Two (2) years of related experience withBachelor s or four (4) years with Associate Degree/Diploma is required.
* Grade 9:
- Four (4) years as Physical Therapist atKFSH&RC;.
- Average of annual performance appraisal atleast (3.5) for the last four (4) years.
- Fifty (50) hours of cumulativecontinued medical education [CME].
Other Requirements(Certificates)
*Current Registration from country of originand Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
* Attends courses in subspecialty area.
* Presents scientificpapers/posters in accredited scientific events (symposia and conferences).
