Duties and Responsibilities
Performs his/her duties and tasks as per Hospital Policy and Agreement on Professional Code of Conduct.
Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department and the hospital as per the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.
Actively participates in the education requirement for the department and the hospital as per the Hospital Education Program.
Responsible for the installation of new wiring according to the design plans.
Checks and Repairs of electrical connections in case of electrical faults.
Installs of electrical devices such as; outlets, switches, lighting fixtures and other similar devices.
Troubleshoots of electrical control circuits.
Responsible for electrically connecting motors and other industrial equipment.
Performs other applicable tasks and duties within the scope of practice and employment contract.
Ensures that all preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance is carried out according to schedules.
Diagnoses faults and prepares part lists to complete the job and complete the PR’s and DR’s.
Carries out all tests such as; continuity, insulation resistance, and load tests in order to keep the system in a good running condition.
Works with Ohm’s meter, Ampere meter and different voltage testers.
Assists in lamp changes when required.
Analyzes material required for jobs and to withdraw them from Stores, or advise the Foreman if they are not available.
Carries with him at all times the necessary tools to perform his jobs. He must advise his Foreman when he requires tools that are not in stock or available.
Follows and adheres to all policies and procedures, including safety procedures, which are in force at KFMMC. The job holder is fully expected to apply all safety practices in his work. He is expected to make systems safe by following all lock out procedures before he starts the work and to notify Management when he comes across unsafe conditions, which due to his training an Electrician, he ought to be aware of.
Responds to all night calls on shift and when called-in after his shift at any time.

Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office.
Good written and oral communication skills in English.
