Redpath Partners are seeking an expert in the field of urban infrastructure development to join our client as a Development Director responsible for driving overall development (feasibility, design, delivery and handover) of the site wide infrastructure for a major urban regeneration scheme in Saudi Arabia.
The development, upon completion, will feature an array of world-class cultural, entertainment, retail, hospitality, educational, office and residential areas.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director of Masterplanning and Infrastructure and will lead on strategic and tactical matters as they relate to design development, construction procurement, budget management, forecasting needs, reporting, and programming of all infrastructure assets.
The site has numerous challenges relating to the infrastructure network as as such requires a candidate with a strong technical experience or a wide range of urban infrastructure assets such as sewer treatment plants, district cooling plants and electricity in a broad spectrum, etc. Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate some experience with life-cycle costing as it relates to the long-term costs and how these can be recovered through internal and external agreements.
This is a multibillion dollar infrastructure network comprising 25000+ car spaces (12K underground), underground metro stations, bus routes, 55km of roads, 15km tunnels, 80km telecom network, 7km utilities network, 2 major power substations, 2 potable water tanks etc
The team is made up of primarily western expat development, design and project management experts who have worked internationally on world class high value masterplans.
Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate the following experience:
• Must have experience of Design, Delivery and long term Life Cycle Costing of urban infrastructure assets
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction, Real Estate or relevant discipline essential (for visa purposes)
• First class stakeholder management and engagement skills
• Availability to be based full time in Riyadh
• Local knowledge of local authority procedures and approvals will be a distinct advantage
