Responsibilities & Duties:
Organize together with the Chef de Partie the shift on his/her section with regards to mise-en-place production and its service.
Take orders from Chef de Partie and carry them out in the correct manner.
Under Chef de Partie’s supervision, to write daily dry store, food requisitions and kitchen transfers on the appropriate forms for the approval of the Head Chef / Sous Chef in order to achieve the high stock rotation desired in the section.
Work to the specifications received by the Chef de Partie regarding portion size, quantity and quality as laid down in the recipe step-by-step.
Responsible for completing the daily checklist regarding mise-en-place and food storage.
Report any problems regarding failure of machinery and small equipment to the Chef de cuisine and to follow up and ensure the necessary work has been carried out.
Have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Company’s policy relating to fire, hygiene and safety
المهارات
Role Qualifications:
Education: Higher Secondary School or Diploma or Certificate in Culinary.
Experience: Minimum 2-year experience of a similar role in a 5-star hotel, restaurant as a Commis
Technical Skills: Customer Service Skills - Positive Attitude - Attention to Detail - Interpersonal Communication - Ability to Multitask – Teamwork. Cooking skills are a must.
Special Skills: Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures - Able to work in a fast-paced environment with speed and quality - Great personal hygiene and grooming standards.
Languages required: English – Arabic
Physical ability: Physical Strength - Physical Stamina, Able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, Being able to stand and walk for long periods of time, Having the capacity to lift heavy items on occasion, Having the ability to work under stress, Able to work long hours.
Main KPIs:
Ensure that the presentation and freshness of all foods is always of the highest standard.
Great Hygiene and set up, (schedules to be signed).
Guests feedback.
Great CDP feedback.
