Job Description and Requirements
Major Activities Performed:
Provides technical advice and recommendations to execute the overall air quality monitoring program requirements including sampling, testing and preventive maintenance, calibration and regular checks on the AQMS stations. Ensure sufficient work on the AQMS stations. Give recommendations for ordering calibration gases, new equipment and support.
Review and evaluate all required technical reports and studies (such as environmental impact studies and self-monitoring report)
Assist and develop an air quality monitoring program to ensure its in line with international requirements and RCER 2015 requirements.
Conducting field inspections to ensure the compliance of industries with the RC standards and regulations.
Evaluate industries pretest plan / SOW for stack testing and fugitive emission.
Witness the stack testing and fugitive emission tests that to be conducted by RC approved consultants to ensure their compliance with the RC requirements
Participates in periodic revision of RC Environmental regulations and standards and implement the same in line with Kingdom’s laws, international regulations and standards and best practices.
Evaluate the operation of various pollution control systems installed by industries; monitors and resolves issues relating to environmental monitoring management.
Prepare technical reports on the status of air quality and meteorological findings at the city, establish a chronological order of quality and advises management of reasons for trends in decline or improvement
Evaluates the impact of air source pollution on ambient air based on stack testing results/calculation and air ambient monitoring.
Performs other related duties as assigned or directed by the RC.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Relevant Field (Environmental Related Sciences, or Chemical Engineering or Related Field)
Minimum 8 years of related air quality monitoring which includes analyzing air data, testing, and gathering data relating to air quality.
Key technical skills for the role will in the following:
Strong analytical, site inspection, sample collection and reporting skills
Complete awareness of air quality regulations and environmental sciences
Time management and team-work skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be able to obtain KSA driving license
Relevant computer proficiency, experience in using Microsoft Office tools and / or any relevant software.
