Provide effective management, accountability and control of the Takamul project
Establish, maintain and manage project budget and cost controls
Establish, maintain and control project progress in accordance with contract programme
Establish, maintain and control project HSSE to ensure compliance with the relevant Occupational Health & Safety Acts
Ensure effective mechanisms for consultation with employees in respect of Occupational Health & Safety are established
Establish, maintain and control Quality in accordance with procedures and responsibilities laid down in Project Quality Plan
Establish, maintain and control industrial harmony within the established parameters of Company and statutory standards
Establish and maintain excellent relations with the client and all consultants with the aim of repeat business, using the ‘partnering principle’ and ‘non-adversarial’ approach wherever possible
Provide overall management and responsibility for total project correspondence, contractual and quality records (client, subcontracts, consultants, etc)
Review project staff performance and provide training necessary for staff to achieve or exceed their project/career objectives
Authorisation of all payments made by the company on the project
Provide effective resources and guidance to function/area managers
Ensure timely and accurate reports and summaries are available when required
Ensure effective risk management systems for the project are established
Identify and manage risks and opportunities
Ensure that effective management and control is provided to Subcontractors and Suppliers
Ensure all HR activities are performed in accordance with Company Procedures and applicable statutory legislation
Ensure that training for project personnel is identified and conducted
Ensure compliance with company Policies and Procedures
Ensure that Quality and HSE Management Reviews are conducted as stipulated in Company procedures
Ensure that the Project Cash-flow is managed
Ensure the development and implementation of the Project Management Plan, PMP
Ensure the development and implementation of the Project Procurement and Contracting Plan
Ensure the development of a Health and Safety Specification and that it is included in contracts under your contro
Ensure that an Environmental and Community Management Plan, in support of the Environmental Impact Assessment, (EIA), included in Requests for Proposals, (RFP’s) for construction contracts under your control
Ensure the implementation and maintenance of the Project Risk Management Process, ensuring that all contractual obligations and statutory requirements are met and that Project Insurances are managed in your area
Ensure the implementation and maintenance of the Project Quality Management Plan, procedures and systems in your area
Ensure the implementation of the Project Communications Plan including project reporting requirements in your area of control
Ensure that there is good co-ordination between all technical disciplines, with special reference to :
Overall plant layout to achieve operability, maintainability and required ergonomic standards and safety
Avoidance of clashes
Defined and recorded inter-discipline interfaces
Ensure the development of a Pre-commissioning and Start-up Plan and ensure that any required Performance Tests are included in the various Purchase Orders and maintain sound Client relationships whilst managing the Client
المهارات
Qualifications;
Degree or Diploma in Project Management, or
20 Years experience on projects in a leadership role
Experience to execute a mega project
Experience in remote African locations desirable
Competencies, Skills & Experience Essential;
General engineering knowledge
Clear understanding of the requirements of The Project Management Body of Knowledge
Thorough understanding of Engineering Management Processes gained through on site experience
Knowledge of Construction Processes including Constructability Reviews
Knowledge of Project Financial and Cost Management Processes
Ability to establish, implement and maintain project and contract programmes.
Experience and knowledge in commercial terms and conditions and the basic Law of Contracts
Ability to establish and implement Quality Management processes in compliance with the company established systems and procedures
Thorough understanding of the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety regulations
Thorough understanding of Risk Management processes
Multi-disciplinary experience of all aspects relating to the area under your control
Experience of all aspects of multi-discipline projects
Decision making skills
Analytical / problem solving skills
High level of numeracy / cost forecasting skills / financial understanding skills
Interpersonal negotiating and relationship skills
